Art Quilting 101 by Helen McCallie

So many people ask me, what is an art quilt? The answer is below. Last Sunday, I went to an Art Fair held at the Shaw Nature Reserve in Gray Summit. Helen does Art Quilts and sells them. Most of her work is in cotton fabrics, but the pink and red items below are done in silk. Although there is some hand work, most of her work is done on the machine.
