HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all who read this. My turkey has been in for over 2 hours and should be ready by 2:00 to eat. Pies are made, and the only major thing left is the mashed potatoes, so I better finish this and get to it.

A Bright Buggy Barn Purse Quilt

Below is another buggy barn purse pattern made with bright fat quarters. This was made by Paula Berry for her grandchild Abbey. They both came to the store today, and I tried to talk Abbey into letting me have this quilt, but she said no. Image that! What a smart little five year old. Art Quilting 101 by Helen McCallie

So many people ask me, what is an art quilt? The answer is below. Last Sunday, I went to an Art Fair held at the Shaw Nature Reserve in Gray Summit. Helen does Art Quilts and sells them. Most of her work is in cotton fabrics, but the pink and red items below are done in silk. Although there is some hand work, most of her work is done on the machine. A picture of Helen with one of her works is shown at the bottom. Thank you Helen.

New Black and White Collection of Fabrics

So here are the new Black and Whites. I want to make something, but I cannot decide what, so I will just have to think a little more. Any Ideas?

New Fabric Owls and Superman

So I finally got some owl fabric in. Below are two new Superman fabrics. I cannot decide which I like best. The owls are so retro cute, but the superman is so action packed. Don't forget Thanksgiving is coming up and we have an early bird black friday sale. The day after Thanksgiving is also the first day we will hand out, with any purchase, next years coupon sheet. Santa Quilt Kit

Below is the latest kit available at Susie Q Quitling. I designed it and made it and quilted it, however, I still need to bind it. Come to Saturday's Demo day to see my new ruler that makes the best binding ever. Hint: This is a novelty binding. If there is enough interest I will do another demo day. Also Eureka High Scool is having their big craft fair this Saturday, so why not make it a creative, inspiring day in Eureka.

I promise binding is going to happen by Saturday at 10:00.
